Mountain Fest has become one of the premiere East Coast mountain bike events. Run by the not-for-profit Velo MSM trail crew, with assistance from Mont Ste Marie management, this fundraiser has enabled the trail organization to continue the expansion and maintenance of the trail system.
Bringing winter recreation to Eastern Ottawa
The Ski Heritage East Trail is a professionally groomed winter trail that facilitates skate and classic skiing, fat-biking, snowshoeing as well as walking. The trail covers an out and back distance of 30 km along the banks of the Ottawa River in Orleans, from Blair Rd. to Trim Road. Easily accessible by foot, car or bus at one of nine trailhead entrances, the trails cover many of the same spots residents of Orleans and the East end of Ottawa ride their bicycles, run or walk on in the summer months.

Nordic Skiing and Winter Sports along the Rideau River area
The Rideau Winter Trail is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the development, sustainability and public use of trails in and around the Rideau River in central Ottawa. This community-led initiative provides a winter trail for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, walking and snow biking.
A non-profit, volunteer organization that applies best practices developed through our affiliation with the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA). We build working relationships with land managers, develop and manage year-round trails, promote mountain biking initiatives, and host events for our local mountain biking community.
Lachute – Montebello – Mont Tremblant & Gatineau, QC
The CSM is a two-day, 160 kilometer ski event that is divided into 5 sections each day, with an average of 16 kms per section. Skiers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. There are feed stations, first aid and toilets available at the end of each section, as well as shuttle buses that run between accommodation and checkpoints throughout each day.
September to November
The Cyclocross Series is run completely by volunteers. Volunteering involves helping set up the course on the morning of the event or helping take the course down after the last race.Each of the four races combine entrants from several race categories. Races begin with a mass start and stretch out into a circuit. This circuit is typically 3 kms long and includes grass, pavement, dirt and occasionally sand.

It begins in 1928, when agronomist Ferdinand Larose established the first conifer planting on abandoned farmlands near Bourget. Since then, it has turned into a site of the most interesting. More than 60km of trails are waiting for you to mountain bike, fat bike, snowshoe or go cross-country skiing within the Larose Forest.
